I love routines. My everyday life is that I wake up, go to work and after work, I have my workout.
Workout is my life and the best thing in the world. It’s the greatest feeling when you achieve new goals, for example, could run faster or have enough strength to do a new bodyweight training move or have the needed flexibility to do the bridge pose.
You can challenge yourself over and over again. You don’t have to compare yourself with the others, just look at your own progress.
This is how my workout week goes:
On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays I do pole dance, acrobatics, bodyweight training, and some yoga depend on the vibes and the weather.
I’ll explain a bit, if it’s really hot out there and you sweat a lot, it’s hard to do pole dance because there is no grip.
On the other hand, then it’s good weather to do yoga because warmth makes you more flexible.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, I go running with my love. He is a marathon runner. On Fridays and Sundays, we go walking. Those are my “rest days” if I feel sick or tired.
I’ll have more rest. I have little by little learned to know my body and how much I can exercise.
In wintertime, we go also skiing together and run less. Sometimes we go cycling too.
My motto is “life is better upside down”. Handstands and all the variations are the best. I’m addicted to them.
My other favorite thing to do is the elbow lever variations (#crocodilepose).
Wherever I go I’ll be scanning the surroundings if there is a good spot to do some street workout or street pole and take a nice picture.
My first time doing pole dance was in 2013, and three years later I tried bodyweight training for the first time.
I used to go on pole dance and bodyweight training lessons.
Last year and a half I have had my own rented training place with a few of my friends.
There you can do pole dance, yoga, bodyweight training, and acrobatics 24/7.
That has been my salvation during the covid- situation.
I have no problem doing my workout alone.
Then I feel completely free, and I can do whatever I want and there is no one to judge me.
I can play my favorite music as loud as I want and dance and do my workout.
That is very liberating.
When this covid- the situation is over I can do again pair acrobatics with my friends.
That is something that I have been missing.
I work out because I think it’s cool to be strong and be able to do things that everyone can’t. I also want to look good, be in good condition, and lose some weight.
If I have had a bad day, all I need to do is hard work out and I feel so much better afterward.
I have never regretted a workout.
